Oh does our God not flow with great mercy and love. He is the most positive and most gracious Lord. I believe our God is more for us than we know and absolutely wants us to succeed beyond our wildest dreams. He is so positive because He loved us so much He was willing to die a criminals death on a cross so we might live.
Jesus was God personified upon the earth and He spoke the living Word of God to all who would hear. Those words are eternal and written in heaven for us. They are in the book I love so much and read all the time. This book is so rich and full of supreme truth I could constantly read and ever learn more of my wonderful Lord.
Just look at the verse below and look at all the “it will” statements given or implied.
Luke 11:9 - 13 (NASB) 9“So I say to you, ask, and
it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened
to you. 10“For everyone who asks,
receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be
opened. 11“Now suppose one of you
fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of
a fish, will he? 12“Or if he is
asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? 13“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy
Spirit to those who ask Him?”
Look how our Lord said we are to pray with perseverance. Every verb in this verse are continuing action verbs with the emphasis on the action being carried out. But look at the positive “it will” statements. These are all saying “it will” be and not maybe, or possibly be, nor every once in a while will be. No this is a promise from the very character of God who is the one promising to perform here and every “it will” can be translated into “I will” because it is our Lord who will be giving us what we need.
Brothers and sisters, this is like a blank check from the maker of Heaven and Earth, who is saying, just persist in asking of me and I will give you everything you need. I believe that He will answer and answer speedily. Wouldn’t an evil earthy father answer speedily to his beloved child, unless he was simply unable to do so? But our Heavenly Father has no such lack, therefore He WILL answer speedily. Expect Him to answer today!!!
What do you need? Salvation? Done!! Healing? Done!! Deliverance? Done!! A job? Done!! Money for a desperate need? Done!! Whatever you need, but especially His wonderful presence in the Holy Spirit . Done!!
